Sumathi Pakki is a sustainability strategist and leader with more than 12 years of cross-sector experience in architecture, climate action, and organizational sustainability. She joins Smart Plastic Technologies to lead the company’s Sustainability Division, advancing strategic frameworks that deepen impact, strengthen ESG credibility, and integrate sustainability into core business execution. Smart Plastic’s mission to transform plastic for a circular and regenerative future aligns with her commitment to measurable environmental outcomes and systems-level solutions.
Sumathi holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and is a LEED Green Associate, with advanced sustainability certifications from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Cambridge in Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies. She is a Climatebase Fellow and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Houston Chapter of The Climate Reality Project, where she advances climate literacy and local climate leadership.
At Smart Plastic, Sumathi will champion ESG development, social return on investment (SROI) measurement, and strategic sustainability alignment that supports growth, credibility, and real-world impact.
